Rui considered himself a blank canvas throughout his youth, but is now continually colourising his image by discovering diverse styles in music. This fuelled his ambitions as a solo artist and session player in the south of the UK. Blending influences from his Latin-infused background and UK upbringing created a distinctive sonic trademark to play with. Rui has experience working with diverse musicians and genres as an instrumentalist and songwriter, these including; The Pretty Dark and ADOM. Alongside this Rui also freelances as a producer, conceptualising his own tracks including; 'Butterscotch' and 'Bluewaves' and, through collaborations with artists, tastefully blends his and their visions.
